What is Snowstorm?
I'm happy to announce the beta build of our Drupal install profile codenamed "Snowstorm" is available for public consumption.
What is Snowstorm? Well we took it upon ourselves to find a great collection of modules from Drupal.org along with our own modules to create a fantastic platform for building responsive, progressively enhanced, Drupal powered web sites and web applications. Read more about What is Snowstorm?

jQuery Mobile Form Elements
Snowstorm fully supports all the jQuery Mobile defined form elements. It generates exactly the correct markup to allow all the forms you've created in Drupal to render perfectly on mobile devices.

Snowball Drupal Core
One of the things that makes Snowstorm special is its capacity to run jQuery Mobile, or more specifically the fact that is uses jQuery 1.6+. We accomplished this by creating our own Drupal distribution named Snowball.
Customizing text
Snowstorm has a great editor to allow you to quickly markup your content. At the heart of the editor syntax is Markdown. Markdown allows you to write using an easy-to-read, easy-to-write plain text format, then convert it to structurally valid XHTML (or HTML).
This allows you to write descriptive text that's both readable by humans and easily interpreted by computers. Plus, since it's "just text" it means you can edit on the iPad, iPhone, notepad, wherever!

Syntax Highlighting
Snowstorm the Prettify library for syntax highlighting making it easy to share code in a clear and "pretty" fashion.
